Purchase & Registration Refund Policies
Purchase and refund policies are stated on the purchase or registration page when you purchase goods or register for conferences or trainings. BEDA ships all goods by either US Postal Service, UPS, or occasionally FedEx. Goods purchased on the BEDA website are shipped within 7 working days unless you are notified by email or telephone within two days at which time you may either agree to backorder or cancel your purchase. All purchases which are canceled under that policy are refunded within fourteen days.
Refund requests for defective goods must be made within 30 days of receipt of your purchase. You will be given instructions on return of goods and all refunds for this reason will be made within 30 days.
Registration for conferences or workshops participation is refundable, less an administrative fee, up to 5 working days prior to the event (unless otherwise stated). Specific information regarding refunds and administration fees will be noted on all flyers, brochures, and on-line event registration pages.
Registration is not guaranteed until payment is received. Programs may be subject to changes. Payments will be refunded if the conference is cancelled by BEDA and in that case, BEDA will have no further liability to the participant. Registrations remain valid if the conference has to be postponed.
Donation Refund Policy
If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to BEDA we will honor your request for a refund made within 15 days of your donation. To request a refund, call 855.855.2332. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
Membership Refund Policy
General Information
BEDA does not allow for the refund of membership purchases unless there are exceptional circumstances. Where exceptional circumstances can be shown to exist, the pro rata amount of the membership fee not exceeding 6 months may be refunded at the discretion of the Membership Chair. Refund of membership fees shall incur an administration fee of $10.00 (U.S. Funds) which shall automatically be deducted from the amount of the refund.
Exceptional Circumstances
A member may apply for a refund in the case of financial hardship or due to a change in personal circumstances. A partner or spouse may apply for a refund within the guidelines of this policy if the death of the members occurs during the membership period.
Overpayment Refund
Where an error has been made by BEDA or a banking facility which results in an overpayment being made, BEDA may, in consultation with the member, refund by either a credit of the overpayment to the membership, or alternatively by check for the full amount of the overpayment. Checks will be sent within 30 days to the member's on file address. Where a member is responsible for the overpayment, the amount will be credited to the membership.
Terms and Conditions of BEDA Membership
BEDA policy only allows services to be provided to members in good standing. If a member fails to pay their membership dues within one (1) month of the due date, the member will not be entitled to the privileges of BEDA membership. Membership in BEDA can be re-instated on payment of the dues. If an individual's membership is not in good standing they may not claim to be a member of the BEDA.
Transfer of BEDA Membership
Memberships are not transferable.
Additional Costs incurred during the processing of Membership Dues
The member will be responsible for all unexpected costs incurred by BEDA incurred in the processing of membership fees. Such costs include (but are not limited to) returned check fees or bank charges made as a result of insufficient funds or accounts having been closed.
