Ashley Southard, Ph.D., LGMFT
Family Therapist and Researcher

Dr. Southard is a licensed couple and family therapist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders.

Dr. Southard is an active member of the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), Eating Disorders Coalition for Research, Policy, and Action (EDC), and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She is also a founding board member of the Eating Disorder Network (EDN) of Central Maryland, which is a member of the NEDA Network.

Dr. Southard earned her doctorate in family science from the University of Maryland. Her research focused on the development of culturally sensitive family therapy models for racial/ethnic minority women affected by eating disorders and their families.
